Time Out says

Think the New Year celebrations were over when the ball dropped in Times Square? Think again.

Losar (aka Tibetan New Year) will be celebrated this weekend at the Rubin Museum. This free family celebration on Sunday, February 26 will celebrate and explore this year’s zodiac animal, the kind and sensitive water hare.

The festivities will include: a traditional torma (butter sculpture) demonstration, a dance performance and art activities. Be sure to register online in advance.
