Time Out says

The annual "March to the Arch" costume parade returns to Dumbo on Halloween, complete with live brass bands, trick-or-treating and more

Get some steps in at the annual Halloween tradition of the "March to the Arch," which returns to Dumbo on Tuesday, October 31, beginning at 4 pm. Kicking off at Washington St between Fronter and Waters Streets, costumed participants will parade through Dumbo to the Dumbo Archway, led by the Funkrust Brass Band and puppets from Chinese Theater Works.

"It's that time of year to haunt the streets of Dumbo!" said Alexandria Sica, President of the Dumbo Improvement District, which puts on the annual "March for the Arch" event. "A neighborhood parade is the best kind of tradition. Can't wait to see our kiddos dressed to the nines!"

Post-parade, enjoy family-friendly activities in the Archway from 4:30-7 pm, including arts and crafts with Creatively WILD Art Studio, a “spooktacular” photobooth from Self Portrait Project, and a costume contest with prizes for the best get-ups. There will also be drinks for sale from The Dumbo Station and live music from the Funkrust Brass Band.

And continuing a longstanding Dumbo tradition, over fifty neighborhood businesses will offer trick-or-treating from their storefronts on Halloween day from 4-7 pm.

But if you want to get in on the festive fun a little early, on Thursday, October 26 through Halloween from 11 am to 9 pm, you can quick some fun Halloween snaps at photo experiences set up on Washington Street at Water Street and in the Dumbo Archway.
