Time Out says

Climb abord the 1885 tall ship Wavertree—with permission, of course—and take in a magical day of poetry on the high seas with the sixth annual NYC Poets Afloat group poetry reading

Poets including Jee Leong Koh, Rosebud Ben-Oni, Kyle Carrero Lopez, Africa Wayne, Joe Dahut, Cynthia Manick and Peter Milne Greiner have been invited to participate in micro-residencies aboard ships in New York Harbor, where they have been inspired to write and create poetry while being surrounded by the city’s bustling waters. Now, these poets will gather on the deck of Wavertree to delight seafaring audiences with their nautically inspired works on Monday, May 19 beginning at 2pm.

Tickets will be free in-person the day of the event but if you want to secure your seat aboard, advance online registration begins at $1. Proceeds are split between the participating vessels.
