Following a jam-packed summer of events, Samsung 837a first-of-its-kind technology and cultural destination in New York’s Meatpacking district—continues to excite, educate and inspire. Kicking off with a calendar of New York Fashion Week activations, the lineup rounds out with exclusive programming celebrating the premiere of Hulu’s new original series, The First, and hi-tech interactive fun with Samsung’s new Galaxy Note9.

Don’t have a front row invite for Fashion Week? Get in on the action at Samsung 837 with a host of exclusive NYFW programming through the WWD Style Dimension. On September 6, the space presents 30 Years of Badgley Mischka featuring the American design duo in conversation with Bridget Foley, executive editor of WWD. Then, join WWD’s Digital Director, Sophia Chabbott, for a conversation about Personal Branding 101. Learn about the power of building your own brand through digital and social content with Aliza Licht, VP of Brand Marketing and Communications at Alice + Olivia and author of Leave Your Mark, and Shopbop’s Fashion Director, Caroline Maguire. Other events include a How to Make it in Fashion talk with WWD executive editor Arthur Zaczkiewicz, and a Beauty Master Class with MAC. On September 7, enjoy WWD Report Card with Style Director Alex Badia, in partnership with Esteé Lauder, as he recaps the fashion and beauty trends of the season, and discover how he uses the new Galaxy Note9 S Pen. Following all NYFW events at Samsung 837, you can take part in interactive Galaxy Note9 installations and exclusive beauty experiences presented in partnership with Becca, Bumble and bumble, GLAMGLOW, MAC, and Origins.

Discover why the future is female with Hulu and The First

The hotly anticipated new Hulu original series, The First, starring Sean Penn, follows a crew of astronauts in the near-future attempting to become the first humans on Mars. Under the direction of visionary aerospace magnate, Laz Ingram, (Natascha McElhone), the crew contends with peril and personal sacrifice as they undertake the greatest pioneering feat in human history. To celebrate the launch, Hulu has teamed up with Samsung 837 to create thought-provoking, and female-forward panels. On September 13, join The Female Quotient for a catered event titled She’s The First: Female Trailblazers on the topic of the future of women in STEM and space programs, followed by a premiere screening of episode one of The First on Samsung 837’s three-story screen. On September 14, Parsons School of Design presents Rebecca Minkoff, global fashion entrepreneur,discussing Fashion and Tech: Meet the Women Advancing What We Wear. On September 15, digital female empowerment hub Women You Should Know hosts a conversation with internationally recognized space ambassador, Abigail  "Abby" Harrison, and later that afternoon the founders of SheWorx discuss Funding the Next Female Leaders. To close out the series, on September 16, The Female Quotient hosts a workshop with non-profit, Girl Develop It, for women interested in learning web and software development. Throughout the weekend, guests will be invited to stream all episodes of The First on Samsung devices available within the space, snap a keepsake digital photo with a space suit from the show, and create a custom The First-themed Samsung phone case.

Tech fans can experience exciting,  new interactive experiences this September at Samsung 837. Explore new roads and discover the ride of the future in the Digital Cockpit, a VR driving experience. Turn your selfie into an emoji in the AR Emoji Booth, and create a digital self-portrait and watch it transform into a work of art with the Galaxy Note9 S Pen. Budding artists can also use the S Pen to create freeform drawings that come to life. Want to live smarter?
