Peanuts, the beloved comic strip from the mind of Charles M. Schultz, turns the big 7-5 this year and to celebrate, The Pit is hosting a monthly storytelling event for the adult admirer who appreciates the wit and wisdom of the strip's 1960s golden era. On Sundays (July 27, August 24 and September 14) beginning at 8:30pm, attendees will have five minutes to tell a personal story related to a preselected strip or series of strips—think relatable, grief-filled stuff like losing a baseball game, having your kite being eaten by a tree or getting a rock in your trick or treat bag.
