The court: CityView is an 80,000-square-foot oasis that includes a bar, spa services, a fitness facility, a caf and seven Har-Tru tennis courts. Did we mention that all amenities are on the roof?
Celebrities you might see: Vanessa Williams, Christine Baranski (Ugly Betty is filmed at nearbySilvercup Studios), Gavin Rossdale, Regis Philbin, Katie Couric, Charlie Rose and Elizabeth Vargas. The court: CPTC boasts 26 clay courts and four hard courts. It also offers tennis instruction, a pro shop and low fees (free with permit $7 per day without permit).
Celebrities you might see: Liev Schreiber, Taye Diggs, John Lithgow, Tracey Ullman, Bono and former mayor David Dinkins have recently played here.

The court: For some old-school charm, head to Manhattan Plaza Racquet Club, which offers five hard courts, a sauna and a sundeck. Members also have access to the adjacent Manhattan Plaza Health Club’s rooftop pool.
Celebrities you might see: “Robert De Niro and Ed Burns are members,” says Gertrude Wilhelm, a manager since 1981. “Mick Jagger, Elton John and Andy Rooney have also played here, and Billie Jean King has a lifelong membership.”
