Time Out says

Salute the brave men and women who served our country and watch marching bands step in time up Fifth Avenue at the nation's largest Veterans Day Parade on Friday, November 11.

Nearly 20,000 people will participate representing every branch of service and every generation since WWII. The city's 103rd Veterans Day Parade will be held rain or shine from 12:30 to 3:30pm. The parade begins at 26th Street and Fifth Avenue, then continues up Fifth to 47th Street.

This year's grand marshal is Vincent W. Patton, the first Black Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard. He retired in 2002 after 30 years of active military service.
