Time Out says

Art has the ability to get you through difficult times, they say. While we continue to stay home even when the 'circuit breaker' is over, the Singapore Art Museum hopes to bring art and meditation into our lives to tide us through these times. From May 20 to July 1, the museum will host weekly wellness sessions broadcasting live on its Facebook page. Called Unwind with Sam: Art & Meditation, the sessions will take place from 8pm to 8.30pm, as part of a new initiative by the museum titled Project Happiness

The virtual wellness sessions will be led by Cheryl Tan, Festival Director of the Singapore Mental Health Film Festival and founder of The Breathe Movement, a social enterprise aiming to increase the emotional and mental resilience of individuals through the practice and philosophies of yoga. All you have to do is create a quiet space in your home, have your favourite essential oils and cushions on hand and get comfy as Cheryl guides you through a grounding mindfulness meditation practice inspired by different works in SAM's collection each week. Is there a better way to indulge in both self-care and art?

So mark your calendars, keep your Wednesday nights free and join a collective of art lovers for the virtual wellness session. If you're a beginner, don't fret. Check out our guide to meditation here
