How to clear your leave in the November issue

In just a few days, if it hasn’t already happened, HR will ring you up at your desk. 'Eh, you still got four days annual leave, leh,' they’ll chide. 'You want to use or not? Cannot carry over ah, tell you first.' You panic. How the hell am I gonna plan a last-minute trip, you sigh.

Well, you can start right here. We know the pain of seeing those leave days go down the 'cannot cash out' chute. So we’ve put together a story on where to go and what to do around the region – now you don’t have to rack your brain over it.

Even if you’re staying in town, pretend as though you’re not. Maybe you can catch Spectre and journey vicariously to exotic locales. In our recent chat with him, Daniel Craig has assured us that the latest Bond flick has 'more of everything' in it, and that 'Bond still wants to have sex'.

Perhaps the two-day music fest Neon Lights will bring to mind the muddy banks of Glastonbury. Bringing in tow acts as diverse as Ride, CHIC feat. Nile Rodgers, Damien Rice and Julia Holter, to name just a few, it boasts one of the most eclectic rosters to ever hit town. Ride's own Mark Gardener expressed the utmost enthusiasm for his seminal band's first-ever set here when we spoke to him.

If all else fails, hit up Whisky Live and down as many drams as you can to forget you even had those four days of leave left.
