I’ve a friend who, like the true chauffered Bukit Timah Princess she is, can’t find her way around town to save her life. But plonk her in any shopping centre and she becomes Khaleesi of the Great Retail Sea, Breaker of Bargains, Mother of Malls. ‘Oh! That’s in basement two, next to this cute little aromatherapy shop – take the escalator beside the Uniqlo. By the way, what is Simei?’ (I swear this is a real question she once asked me.)
Yet, I’m willing to bet even retail royalty such as her won’t know which malls have the best food. Or which one’s the go-to for camping gear. Or the forgotten heartland mall that hides a surprise on its rooftop. We do – and it’s all right here in this issue. Shop hard.
