Time Out says

Singapore has never seen anything like the Sunda Festival. In a city filled with endless music festivals and concerts, this unique event is bringing a fresh new take on partying – Singapore's first-ever camping festival. Now, imagine sleeping where the party’s at? Dang!

Materialised as a collaboration between local collective Ice Cream Sundays and Hong Kong-based FuFu creative, the festival will be held over the course of two days from September 30 to October 1, across three stages, at the Sarimbun Scout Camp. Wilderness, we know. But the further away from the city the better, we say!

The festival's lineup announcement features a magnificent showcase of Asia Pacific's finest talents, revealing an impressive mix of live acts and DJs from a variety of countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, and Singapore. This includes home-based Darker Than Wax’s Dean Chew and Kaye, together with Hokkaido-based electronic music legend Kuniyuki. Not forgetting Midnight Runners’ Munir from Indonesia, Savage resident DJ Di Linh from Vietnam, Thailand’s techno producer Chalo, local psychedelic band Mantravine, Australia’s Discoteque-duo Wax’o Paradiso, and many more.

In addition to the music, the festival will feature a series of workshops and activities suitable for all ages, which means no one gets left out! This includes a cacao ceremony by Melissa Tan, a dream interpretation workshop by Livy Von Goh, a mindfulness meditation session by Ryan Grimes, Chinese tea-tasting by Tea Jockey, a sound healing session by Amanda Ling, and a cosmic soul expression session by vocalist ArunDitha of the band Mantravine. Children can look forward to a scavenger hunt hosted by the artist collective Play!, and a craft workshop by artist Polina Korobova (‘Glitter Queen’). There will also be a panel on music collaboration featuring the performing artists. For the full lineup of music acts, activities and workshops, visit their web page here.

You won’t go hungry as well with vendors like Offtrack and Maxi Coffee working together to serve up Asian-inspired dishes paired with coffee. Monument Lifestyle will be presenting a special menu of sandwiches and ice popsicles to battle the heat with. Puck Provisions together with Boujee Botanicals and Amanita Kombucha will be your go-to vendor for vegan food options and beverages. And if you're in the mood for artisanal sausages, check out Sidecar Handcrafted. For drinks, onsite bars like Bombay Sapphire Bar and Heineken Silver will quench your thirst.
