Indonesia is laying all its cards on the table this July – Masa Singapore 2026, a showcase of the country's brightest creative talents across fashion, art, music, design and food, is taking over both Takashimaya Shopping Centre and Gardens by the Bay with a month-long celebration of Indonesia's booming creative scene.

Running from July 2 to August 10, the festival gathers more than 80 Indonesian brands, artists, designers, musicians, chefs and creative studios under one banner, making it one of the largest showcases of contemporary Indonesian culture to land in Singapore.

And underlying the event is the Indonesian philosophy of gotong royong – the idea that communities move further when they move together.

The action kicks off at Takashimaya Shopping Centre from July 2 to 5, where visitors can browse a multidisciplinary marketplace spanning fashion, design, architecture, hospitality, food, art and music.

The lineup spans fashion, art, culture, food and lifestyle, bringing together some of Indonesia's biggest names alongside rising independent labels. Expect fashion brands (Buttonscarves, Calla, Nusaè, Hijack, Cita Tenun Indonesia and Toba Tenun), art and culture players (Whiteboard Journal, Darbotz, Mizuma Gallery and Museum of Toys), and food and lifestyle favourites (Acaraki, Suasana Kopi, Rumah Koffie, Santai Furniture, MAIKA and Indonesian dining institution Sederhana). It's a great mix of established names, independent studios and homegrown creatives if you ask us.

From July 4 to August 10, Gardens by the Bay's Flower Dome will transform into ‘Orchid Extravaganza: Rhythm of the Rainforest’, where more than 7,000 orchids bloom alongside recreations of Indonesia's iconic architecture and cultural landmarks. Look out for Balinese split gates and Meru towers, traditional Batak and Sumbanese houses, as well as nine towering anyaman sculptures of Indonesian wildlife and plants, handcrafted by 27 Balinese artisans using centuries-old weaving techniques.

The festival also spills beyond shops, exhibitions, and showcases. Masa Sound, a series of live music performances, will take over the Glassdome on July 12, featuring Singapore singer-songwriter Lullaboy alongside Indonesian acts such as Marbles, Matter Mos, and Pengayoman.

Elsewhere around town, there'll be gallery exhibitions, illustration festivals, artist talks, photography showcases, book signings, hospitality pop-ups and a SoundBar takeover by Subo Family, an Indonesian listening bar. The full list of happenings can be found on their webpage here and on Instagram here.
