Another Coffee Festival may sound like, well, just another coffee festival – but don't be fooled. The booth-hopping format – reusable cup, tasting tokens, 34 roasters across four days – is the closest Singapore has come to a proper specialty coffee crawl.

Running from September 3 to 6 at Guoco Tower Urban Park, the event aims to spotlight the people, stories and communities behind specialty coffee, all while strengthening Singapore's coffee scene through collaboration.

The first edition will gather 19 homegrown names alongside 15 international roasters from nine countries and regions. International heavyweights include Fuglen from Norway, South Korea's Centre Coffee, Japan's Coffee County, Indonesia's Common Grounds and the Philippines' Yardstick Coffee – some of which are making their first appearance in Singapore. Singapore favourites such as PPP Coffee, Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee, and Homeground Coffee Roasters will also be pouring.

Instead of buying drinks individually, visitors can pick up a reusable cup and tasting tokens, which can be exchanged for coffees across the entire lineup. The format encourages hopping from booth to booth, comparing flavour profiles, chatting with roasters and discovering cafés you probably wouldn't have stumbled upon otherwise.

The festival also goes beyond what's in your cup. Expect founder talks, guided tastings, limited-edition roasts, exclusive merchandise and creative collaborations throughout the weekend. South Korean illustrator Moonsub Shin – whose hand-drawn café sketches have become instantly recognisable in coffee circles – will be creating a large-scale illustrated mural live from 11am on September 3. He'll also be customising festival cups with live drawings during daily illustration sessions across all four days.

Festival-goers can buy a standard festival cup ($15) and tasting tokens (starting at $12 for three). But early birds can shave a little off the bill: Super Early Pourer bundles are on sale from today till July 31, starting at just $21.60 for a festival cup and three tokens.

In August, general early-bird bundles go on sale with discounts of up to 20 percent. Standard ticket prices kick in after August. Tickets can be purchased here.
