Gin-focused bar, Atlas, has announced that it's cancelling its New Year's Eve party due to the sudden passing of Mr George Wong, the group chairman of Parkview Group. Atlas was a passion project of Wong – the Hong Kong billionaire dedicated much of his life to Parkview Group, which owns and develops property across Asia and Europe.
The party was priced at $580 per person for dinner including a free flow of Charles Heidsieck Champagne, a selection of red and white wine, and beer. Free-roaming standing tickets plus drinks were priced at $380. Atlas is closed on December 31 and January 1, and guests who have purchased tickets can contact the restaurant for more information about refunds.
