New week, new dining rules

Starting July 19 and stretching to August 8, dining-in at F&B establishments will be reduced to groups of two for individuals who are not fully vaccinated. For those who have received both doses of the vaccine can continue to dine in groups of five at some establishments. The new social restrictions are a result of the new KTV cluster in the community.

Group sizes will remain at two at hawker centres, food courts and coffee shops. According to the Health Ministry, these settings are "more porous" and do not impose mandatory SafeEntry check-ins and there is another layer of difficulty to check if every individual has been fully vaccinated or tested negative for Covid-19. Live performances, recorded music and videos will continue to be prohibited at F&B establishments.

Singapore is also on track to get two-thirds of the population vaccinated by National Day. As it is, by the end of next week, 50 percent of the population will be fully vaccinated (that means both doses are done) based on the current bookings.

In the meantime, stay safe and do observe safe-distancing measures when you're out and about. Or you can pack a picnic and check out the amazing delivery options we have.
