Another one bites the dust: After nearly 12 years of serving wonderful bakes, Fluff Bakery is calling it a day for good, as announced in an Instagram post dated August 16, 2025.

The Muslim-owned bakery first started out as a home-based business in 2012, before opening a physical store along Jalan Pisang in 2013. The outlet saw perpetual long queues of sweet-tooths waiting for a bite of its mouthwatering cupcakes and other fresh confections, and eventually moved to a larger space at North Bridge Road – also similarly near the Haji Lane/Arab Street area – in 2021.

Unfortunately, the owners can no longer sustain the store despite its longstanding popularity.

Part of Fluff Bakery’s closure announcement reads, “It has been tough for a couple of years now and we just can’t keep afloat anymore. Our story runs deep but some things are best left unsaid. It’s been such a bittersweet journey for almost 12 years that we have been running this bakery and it breaks our hearts to close our doors forever.”

The post also goes on to appeal for support in Fluff Bakery’s last few weeks of operation, as the owners still have salaries, suppliers, and rental fees to pay, and hope to “close without any major debts”.

Fluff Bakery will be staying open till an unspecified date in mid to late September 2025. Visit it at 795 North Bridge Road while you still can, and catch further updates via Instagram.
