Bukit Panjang gets a new neighbourhood skating rink, running track and obstacle course

A new inline skating rink has rolled into Bukit Panjang  – and it’s Singapore’s first neighbourhood rink of its kind. Yes, we’re talking about Senja Inline Skating Rink, which just opened on August 23, 2026. 

Built under Sport Singapore’s Sport-in-Precinct initiative, the rink takes over the hard court outside the Zhenghua-Senja Square Residents’ Network. It is completely free to use and, mercifully, doesn’t require a booking.

You will, however, need to come prepared with your own gear. There aren’t any supporting facilities or equipment rental services announced yet, so bring your own skates, knee and elbow pads, and cones if you need. Beginners can also look forward to possible inline skating classes organised by the residents’ network, with four sessions expected to cost $100. More information will be revealed soon on gov.sg.

Apart from the rink, there’s also the new Senja Warrior Course, where you’ll find a two-lane, 400m running track, outdoor GymGuru fitness machines and an obstacle course with stumps, a rope bridge and suspended logs to tackle.

For younger visitors, Senja Go Trail is packed with obstacles and play equipment, including ground-level trampolines, rubber mounds and climbing structures. And if that still isn’t enough to tire the kids out, there’s a Ninja Warrior-inspired obstacle course waiting. The route involves crawling or climbing through a netted structure, hopping between ramps and finishing on the monkey bars. 

Getting to the new facility is easy. The rink is only about a three-minute walk from Jelapang LRT, while the Senja Go Trail and Senja Warrior Course are around a five-minute walk. If you’re coming from Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange, bus 922 gets you to Block 617 in four stops, followed by another three-minute walk. 

Senja Inline Skating Rink is located at 7 Senja Link, Singapore 677641, near Block 621 Senja Road, while the Senja Go Trail and Senja Warrior Course are located in front of Block 620 Senja Road, Singapore 670620.
