See, smell, sip and explore tea in a new way with immersive zones, a riverfront pop-up and exclusive merchandise

If you think tea is all polite sips and porcelain cups, international tea brand Chagee is turning things up a notch from now till June 7, 2026 with Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie. Teaming up with Singapore Tourism Board and the Asian Civilisations Museum, Chagee’s multi-sensory exhibition turns your everyday brew into an art-meets-culture experience, complete with a riverfront pop-up serving fan favourites.
Start with the exhibition, where you move through a series of immersive zones designed around how we actually experience tea – not just through taste, but through sight, scent, sound, touch and even thought. Highlights include a calming sculptural installation inspired by the shape of tea leaves, an aromatic zone where different tea fragrances come alive, and a visually striking display that pairs historic tea vessels with Chagee’s modern takeaway cups.
There’s even a sound-based installation that turns the rhythms of tea preparation into something closer to a meditative soundtrack – proof that tea can, in fact, have main-character energy. Make time for the interactive elements too, designed to slow you down, heighten your senses and rethink your daily cup.
Once you’ve wandered through the exhibition, follow the experience outside to Chagee’s pop-up store, which has temporarily taken over Baker & Cook till its return in July 2026. This is where tasting comes into play, with crowd favourites like the fragrant Bo Ya jasmine green tea on offer, alongside other signature drinks. It’s designed as a relaxed, communal space, perfect for sipping, people-watching and debating which tea reigns supreme.
The pop-up also stocks exclusive merchandise you won’t find elsewhere, including porcelain cups, scented candles inspired by Chagee teas and a limited-edition pony plush charm that’s already shaping up to be a cult collectable. And if you think that it's in reference to this year's zodiac animal, you're wrong. The pony pays tribute to the horses that once transported tea along ancient trade routes, carrying precious leaves across continents. There’s even a subtle nod to Singapore, with Merlion-inspired details and a tiny teapot referencing historic vessels from the museum. The limited-edition pony plush charm comes in two colourways and is available as a bundle with a drink for only $17.90, while stocks last.
Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie is included with the Asian Civilisations Museum’s All Access ticket, priced at $12 for Singaporeans and PRs, and $25 for tourists. Find out more here.
