Celebrating the festive arrival of the new year, Chanel has erected a larger-than-life illuminated installation that brings in the yuletide cheer on Orchard Road.
At the outdoor plaza of ION Orchard lies Chanel’s Holiday Cosmosphere, an 18 metre-tall light projection that fashion lovers will adore. In addition to the holiday season, the immersive installation is also a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the iconic Chanel N°5 fragrance.
Chanel’s first outdoor Christmas tree is like no other. Boasting helixes of stars and the emblematic Chanel iconography, the avant-garde structure is made of overlapping gold hoops, delightful presents and gold meteorite rocks, with luxurious white trunks and gift boxes stowed at the base. The structure also doubles as an interactive element and offers nightly shows as well.
Step through the immersive festive dome and be dazzled by the intergalactic-themed nook — you’ll be surrounded by a feature wall of cosmos and galaxies and a 3D model of the perfume in striking gold as you embark on a magical journey through the universe of Chanel. While the sparkling, intergalactic light show dazzles the eyes, delight your senses as you inhale the scent of Chanel N°5 L’eau filling the air. The Chanel Holiday Cosmosphere will also feature a celestial light show every hour from 8pm to 10pm.
There is also a chance for you to redeem a free gift while you’re there. With no purchase required, simply find a hidden QR code somewhere on the boxes, scan it, and sign up to be part of Chanel’s mailing list. You will then receive a pair of Chanel badges – a black badge with the Chanel logo on it and a badge with an image of the Chanel N°5 in a metallic gold finish.
The installation will be up till January 2, 2022, and the light show will be happening at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm. Visit it at night for the greatest Christmas lights experience, together with the other Christmas displays lined along Orchard Road.
