Forget chicken rice and chilli crab – Singapore cuisine has so much more to offer than that. Time Out Singapore is teaming up with four of the city's best chefs to showcase our rich cultural heritage through food on July 26 and 27.

The Time Out Singapore Balik Kampong Heritage Dinner sees chefs Damian D'Silva (MasterChef Singapore 2018 judge) of Folklore, Han Li Guang of one Michelin-starred Labyrinth, Haikal Johari of one Michelin-starred Alma by Juan Amador and Pang Kok Keong of Antoinette present a seven-course dinner that highlights Eurasian, Peranakan, Malay and Chinese culture. Treat yourself to dishes created specially for this two-night event, including the chefs' reinterpretation of beef rendang, otah otah and ayam masak merah. The seven-course dinner is priced at $150 and comes paired with a range of alcoholic beverages.

Interweaving their unique culinary heritage, the chefs will come together to demonstrate what Singaporean heritage cooking is all about – slow food that requires tremendous dedication, time and care. They're making these dishes exclusively for the event so you won't be able to find these dishes anywhere else. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to learn more about Singapore's culinary history and how our food has evolved over the years to form a part of our identity.

Time Out Singapore Balik Kampong Heritage Dinner is taking place at Folklore, Destination Singapore Beach Road, on July 26 and 27, from 7pm to 10pm, at $150 nett per diner including alcohol. Book your tickets here.
