To celebrate, the South Korean bakery will also be rolling out a new menu item – the K-Lava Tteokbokki Pastry Tart

Paris Baguette’s pastry case just got a whole lot more inclusive. After years of running on a “no pork, no lard” promise, the South Korean bakery brand has officially secured MUIS halal certification as of February 13, 2026. A quick scroll through the MUIS halal directory confirms it: every single store now carries the stamp of approval.
That means free rein over the brand’s cult favourites – from the unapologetically fragrant ‘Best Ever Garlic Bread Chips’ to those pillowy ‘Fresh Yoghurt Cream Cakes’ and stacked meat sandwiches.
For those who need a refresher: Paris Baguette first launched in South Korea in 1988 and has since ballooned into a 4,000-plus-store empire worldwide. It landed on our shores in 2012 at Wisma Atria and now counts more than 20 outlets islandwide, including anchoring malls like VivoCity and Jewel Changi Airport.
In celebration, the chain will be rolling out a new menu item on February 19: the K-Lava Tteokbokki Pastry Tart. Think smoky cheese, white cheddar, chewy rice cake nuggets, gochujang mayo and a buttery crumble on top.
The bigger picture? The brand says this halal move is part of a wider push into Southeast Asia, with its sights also set on the Middle East.
