Jewel Blooms, a floral festival to rival the displays at Gardens by the Bay, is now blooming at Jewel Changi Airport's Canopy Park. Running from now to August 11, Jewel Blooms: What A Feelin5 features six mesmerising floral installations, themed activities and promotions, and a garden-themed overnight camp to boot.

The highlight of this year's Jewel Blooms is Petal Garden: Super Blooms by Megumi Shinozaki – and it's one for the cherry blossom lovers. This is the largest installation at the floral festival, and it overflows with 10,000 bundles of lovely pink hybrid starchis (a double-flowering variety of cherry blossom) and preserved hydrangeas flown in from Japan. Arranged on two 2.8-metre-tall mountain structures, the installation recreates California's ethereal super blooms.

The other installations at Jewel Blooms are by local garden designer Andy Eng, whose landscape designs have won awards at the likes of Singapore Garden Festival. The five floral displays are immersive wonders: walk through a maze of 3,000 blooms and 70 towering sunflowers at Hedge Maze: A Maze of Sunshine; admire waterfalls of 1,000 pink, purple, and white wisterias at Mirror Maze: Tranquil Blossoms; take a romantic walk through the mist, illuminated by over 80 lighted paper and kinetic flowers at Foggy Bowls: Blooming in Love; and more.

To complement the floral displays, Jewel Changi Airport will also be running two events: Jewel Blooms Marketplace (May 31 to June 9), featuring 13 stores selling plants, flowers, and creative knick knacks; and Jewel Plant Swap (June 1), for plant enthusiasts to swap plants and acquire new blooms for their garden.

And if you want to take your love of plants and flowers up another notch, then book an overnight camp at Changi Experience Studio's 'An Enchanted Night at the Airport' camp. This year, it's back with a garden theme, featuring a 'Be an Airport Horticulturalist' quest and floral resin workshop that's fit for the whole family. Your accommodations: a lovely garden-like 'campsite' complete with tents on grass turf, life-sized otters and flowers. And as a bonus, this experience comes with a ticket to Jewel Blooms and a box of bespoke Changi signature tea blend.
