Jam to homegrown musicians and support local not-for-profit organisations while you’re at it. Headlined by indie darling Charlie Lim and hip-hop artist Shigga Shay, Music for a Cause – an ‘altruistic music festival’ – brings together music and social causes to the community.

Held at the Singapore Management University’s Campus Green on January 20, the festival presents eight local organisations that are setting up booths to raise awareness about various causes. Learn how to improve the welfare of stray dogs with Action for Singapore Dogs and discover how you can conserve Singapore’s reef with Our Singapore Reefs.

There's also going to be Crossfit and yoga sessions too, conducted by The Team Rumble and yoga instructor Amanda Ling respectively. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the social causes.

Other musicians performing include Jack and Rai, 53A, Tabula, Axel Brizzy, Joie Tan and Gareth Fernandez & The Momma Shop.

Music for a Cause is at Singapore Management University, Campus Green on Jan 20. Check out its website for more info.
