A night of glitz and glamour awaits at when Time Out Singapore takes over Astor Bar at The St Regis Singapore to create a 1930s Shanghai speakeasy for the city's sexiest people. Held on September 6 at 7pm, the Time Out Cocktail Club: Shanghai Nights is a peep into the world of Chinese decadence, proving that crazy rich Asians have been throwing extravagant parties way before Hollywood decided it was cool.
Four of the city's best mixologists – Andrew Loudon from Tippling Club, Sam Wong from Mona Lounge, Ronan Keilthy from Junior and Christian Chavez from Astor Bar – are preparing a drink each. There's Dangerous Romance, an exotic blend of tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and homemade tomato shrub garnished with bakkwa and thyme as well as other exclusive cocktails you won't be able to try anywhere else.
Also expect oriental snacks like drunken chicken, smoked pork belly served in a steamed bun and crispy chilli crab balls among other canapés. Don your hedonistic hat and journey with us to Shanghai’s golden age – it’s a lavish affair you don’t want to miss.
