After years of cancelled festivals and silent stages, big music gigs across Asia are back with a vengeance. Serving good music and of course, good vibes is Good Vibes Weekender. Organised by Future Sound Asia, the team behind Malaysia’s premier music festival, Good Vibes Festival, is reintroducing the festival life back to the KL music scene with Good Vibes Weekender.

Good Vibes Weekender is happening on September 23 and 24 at Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon. Featuring a selection of internationally acclaimed artists and Malaysia’s talented local artistes, Good Vibes Weekender makes its debut as the first festival experience under the Good Vibes brand that’s based in the city.

Headlining the festival are Jackson Wang and CL, a K-Pop star who was once the leader of the successful girl group, 2NE1. Malaysia’s rapper Joe Flizzow and SonaOne are also part of the line-up. Other performers in the stellar line-up include singer-songwriter Pink Sweat$, alternative/indie singer-songwriter Beabadoobee and Snakehips.

“Good Vibes Weekender is our newest brand under the Good Vibes banner. We’ve always wanted to create a festival for music lovers to share the good times here in the city, and with the restart of live events, we finally have a chance to do so! Good Vibes has always been ahead of the curve for music trends, and with more Asian acts making waves with a bigger audience, we would also like the inaugural Good Vibes Weekender to reflect that,” says  Wan Alman, Head of Entertainment at Future Sound Asia.

Tickets are already on sale on the website. Two-day general admission passes go for RM399 ($123) while two-day VIP passes go for RM999 ($309). For more information, visit www.goodvibesfestival.com.
