You’ve heard from us first.

We’re sure you’re familiar with Kilo Lounge, the famed underground music venue that previously closed its doors back in 2019… a sad day for Singapore, indeed. Today, Kilo Singapore is delighted to announce the launch of Kilo After Dinner – a new concept – and the arrival of Sivanesh Pillai as Music Director.

With his appointment there, look forward to live DJ sets at Kilo After Dinner, which kicks off at 10pm, starting on Aug 12 and 13 at Kilo Kitchen. This new concept is brought to you by the Kilo Collective Group, which aims to keep you excited for what’s coming next – the return of Kilo Lounge and their new cocktail bar that opened in Bali, Behind the Green Door. Details surrounding Kilo Lounge are being kept a secret for now, but stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, Kilo Kitchen will be throwing pop-up parties to tease the reopening of Kilo Lounge to get you in the mood. Happening every Friday and Saturday of the week, Kilo After Dinner aims to deliver an eclectic musical palette of afrobeats, deep house, house and world music on both nights to ensure the rooted grooves captivate and reel you in like a spell, looping you into heady hypnotism that keeps you going and going – like a party that never ends. Hip hop? They play that too—it's all part of the party.

Local loves like Aurora (A Phat Cat Collective), Deepak (Therapy Room), Mr Has (Rawjak) and Nez Senja are part of this month's agenda, while guest appearances from EJ Missy, Jalpari, Mari Mrtnz, Miss Lil and RaySoo are pencilled in for later in the year. Depending on the night of the week, you might get hip hop or house; just stay on top of their social media accounts to know what’s on the table that week. Or just follow the crowds, because you know there will always be one.

We're so on board with this new direction, which will hopefully only get louder when Kilo Lounge finally opens to the masses. Kilo Kitchen is at 97 Duxton Road, and is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12pm onwards.
