The one-day festival is part of Adex's three-day program, which includes free scuba try-dives

The Ocean Tribes Festival – a one-day deep dive into ocean culture spanning music, sustainable fashion, film and art – is taking over Suntec on April 11, as part of Asia Dive Expo (Adex).
Ocean Tribes combines three events into one big ocean-themed bash: the Sound Shower Soulwave Music Festival, a sustainable fashion showcase, and the Adex Ocean Film Festival. Expect live music by musicians Pablo Vicencio and afrosideral, runway shows featuring eco-conscious designs, and films exploring ocean conservation.
Ocean Tribes is part of the much larger Adex Big Blue Legacy 2026, running April 10 to 12 at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre. Now in its 32nd year, Adex has grown well beyond a trade show into a full-on, three-day public programme covering conservation, culture, science and more. This year’s theme, “The Blue Revolution: Reduce, Innovate, Reuse,” spotlights the humphead wrasse – a critically endangered reef fish targeted for live seafood trade.
The three-day programme includes keynote talks and panels featuring heavyweights like cave diving pioneer Jill Heinerth, Emmy-winning wildlife cinematographer Cristian Dimitrius, marine scientist Alan Friedlander, and underwater creatives including Álvaro Herrero, Aaron Gekoski and Liz Parkinson.
And if you want to dip your toes into a new hobby, there are free scuba try-dives on-site too. Prefer to stay dry? Then check out the dive tourism showcases, underwater sports like hockey and rugby, a kids’ zone, and more.
Other programmes include the Voice of the Ocean competition (complete with live judging), photography workshops, an Ocean Artists Gallery, and a Blue Economy zone spotlighting sustainability and innovation. AquaPoetics makes its debut, too – an underwater performance art competition where free divers turn a tank into a stage.
Tickets for Ocean Tribes festival are priced from $48, and can be purchased here. Tickets to Adex can be purchased separately here.
