Peter Rabbit has hopped along back to his burrow, but another furry friend from our childhood storybooks and cartoon-watching days is here to host us for teatime – and it’s someone who loves marmalade. That’s right, Paddington Bear is here in town for Skai’s latest themed afternoon tea experience, with the added icing of panoramic views from the 70th floor.
Greeting you at the lobby of Swissôtel The Stamford is the cheery sight of a Paddington Bear standee, complete with London’s quintessential red phone booth and mailbox for a photo opportunity. Head up to the restaurant and you’ll be served a multi-tiered set of nibbles, also very much in line with the whole English setting of the red-hatted Andean bear’s adventures, after arriving to live there from Peru.
Of course, it’s not a surprise seeing orange-infused treats like the orange marmalade sandwich, clementine marmalade sandwich with honey brioche, and citrus basil sorbet with earl grey tea and orange pomelo salsa. Other items include the British classic of raspberry Battenburg sponge, chicken pie, and an indulgent hot smoked salmon rillette with caviar.
Each diner also gets to enjoy their choice of TWG tea, coffee, or one of two Paddington Bear-inspired mocktails – both of which include citrusy notes.
This Paddington-themed high tea is available at Skai from October 6 to December 31, 2025. Each serving is priced at $78 per adult, or $88 with a take-home jar of marmalade. Find out more, check out the full menu, and make your booking here.
