We all know that the pandemic hasn’t been at all friendly to our neighbourhood hawkers – some of our favourites have shuttered their businesses in the last two years. But from March 16 to May 29, we can head down to Raffles Singapore to best experience the hawker fare we’ve missed. Their breezy alfresco garden, Raffles Courtyard, will now be home to some of our little red dot’s best food from 5pm to 9pm.

It’s by the same folk behind popular hawker stalls such as Luckmeow of Maxwell Food Centre and Empress Place Teochew Beef Kway Teow. You can view the menu in full here: dishes include pan-seared butter chicken ($18), sweet coconut dosa featuring carrot jam and pistachio chutney ($10), and even a 'MasalAglio Olio' ($22) – a unique take on the classic aglio olio, with mee goreng influences.

From now to June 23, they’ll also be collaborating with Four Pillars Gin, an award-winning gin distillery from Australia’s Yarra Valley, for a line-up of gin-based summer cocktails. With Raffles Hotel’s colonial architectural backdrop and a bevy of shared cocktails, there’s every reason to head down soon.

Here’s the full list of hawkers that’ll be making an appearance:

  • Luckmeow (Pasha Siraj): March 16 to 27
  • Mr Tersmell (Hady Jay): March 30 to April 17
  • Empress Place Teochew Beef Kway Teow (David Lim): April 20 to May 8
  • Seafood Pirate & Yap’s Noodles (Darren Teo & Henry Yap): May 11 to 29

There’ll also be Happy Hour specials, where you can score $12 drinks from 5pm to 8pm daily. As for those working in the hospitality industry, they can even enjoy one-for-one beverages when they present their name cards.
