Apple users look away because this isn't for you – unless you're planning to make the switch to Samsung that is. Samsung announced that its new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones launch in Singapore on March 16 and pre-orders are available from noon on Thursday, March 1.

The phones feature better cameras: the Galaxy S9 rocks a Super Speed Dual Pixel 12MP AF sensor while the Galaxy S9+ has a shiny new dual aperture lens that's able to provide a variable aperture of between f/1.5 to f/2.4 and a resolution of 12MP. These are the best cameras Samsung has ever put in its phones.

The Galaxy S9 retails at $1,198 and only comes with 64GB of space while the Galaxy S9+ is priced at $1,348 for the 64GB and $1,489 for the 256GB model. The new smartphones are available for purchase through the major telcos such as Singtel, M1 and Starhub, electronic stores like Lazada, Best Denki and Courts, and Samsung’s online store.
