Singapore Airlines (SIA) is adding a new destination to its China map. Starting June 1, 2026, SIA will operate daily flights between Singapore and Hangzhou, opening up the Yangtze River Delta region – think West Lake, Longjing tea plantations, historic temples, and buzzing tech hubs.

This makes Hangzhou the ninth mainland China destination of SIA, joining Beijing (Capital and Daxing), Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Xiamen. Combined with its budget arm Scoot and its daily flights to Hangzhou plus 14 other cities, the SIA Group will serve 22 destinations across mainland China in total.

For its new Singapore–Hangzhou route, the airline will deploy its medium-haul Airbus A350-900, seating 303 passengers in total: 40 in business class and 263 in economy. The maiden flight, SQ838, will depart Singapore at 5.40pm and land in Hangzhou at 10:50pm, local time. The return flight, SQ839, leaves Hangzhou at 12:10am on June 2, arriving back in Singapore at 5.10am.

Tickets will go on sale from today on SIA’s website, with prices starting from $439 from economy (accurate at the time of writing and may vary later).
