The world's best airline is getting even better: Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced a major menu refresh, totalling 100 new appetisers, mains, and desserts across all cabin classes.

You can expect locally-inspired flavours as well as dishes inspired by SIA destinations in the new menu. To pull it together, SIA tapped its in-house chefs and guest chefs, such as MasterChef judge Monica Galetti (the United Kingdom), Michelin-starred chef Nandu Jubany (Spain), and owner-chef of the historic Kikunoi, Yoshihiro Murata (Japan), who has seven Michelin stars to his name.

The new SIA Chef's Selection dishes are already being rolled out on SIA flights. Highlights include tandoor-roasted paneer with velvety pasanda gravy across all cabin classes, beef short rib sambal percik with nasi kerabu on Suites and First Class, an elevated rojak with Sakura dried shrimp on Suites, First Class, and Business Class, and desserts like cheng tng, available in variations across cabin classes.

SIA also refined its beverage programme: expect new spirits, from an SIA-exclusive blended whiskey from Japan's Komoro Distillery in Suites and First Class to Whyte & Mackay blended Scotch whiskey in Premium Economy and Economy. These complement an extensive list of champagnes and French wines, not to mention cocktails, sakes, beers, and non-alcoholic options.

As usual, you can pre-order these in-flight dishes and special meals online. If you're flying fancy in Premium Economy and above, you may also be eligible for an exclusive, gourmet selection via SIA's Book the Cook programme.

Speaking of fancy – Suites, First Class, and Business Class passengers will enjoy these meals on new custom-designed serviceware, courtesy of French luxury tableware maison Christofle. Look closely: these carry SIA's signature batik motif.

More shiny new upgrades are set to be announced in November, namely, next-generation long-haul seats, a new KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, and new amenity kits. Before you rush to book tickets for the year-end, note that these will likely only enter service in 2027. But if you've already got SIA tickets booked this year, at least your taste buds will be happy.
