For something to occupy the kids during the year-end holidays, we reckon that an experience with a wildlife twist wouldn't hurt – and it's just as well that Singapore has that in spades, with shiny new attractions like Rainforest Wild Asia, Mandai Rainforest Resort, and Colugo Camp. If your kiddo fancies themselves more mermaid than forester, though, then Singapore Oceanarium's relaunched "Ocean Dreams" glamping experience will be right up their alley.

The newly revamped oceanarium is bringing back its signature overnight experience across four select weekends between November and December – now with a cool twist. For the first time, guests will get to spend the night in glamping tents bathed in the dreamy glow of the Open Ocean Zone. These tents are premium, with air-conditioning, cosy lighting, plush air mattresses and bedding, and a full basket of snacks. But what makes it really special is the setting, with manta rays, sharks, and tons of colourful fish swimming overhead.

It's a learning experience, too, and the Singapore Oceanarium has some unique experiences lined up. Learn about the inner workings of the attraction at exclusive behind-the-scenes tours: see where the oceanarium's young aquatic animals are bred, peep into the food preparation room, watch animal care specialists handle delicate corals, or peer down into the Open Ocean Habitat from above. If it's the animals you want to get close to, there are also special feedings sessions with manta rays and meet-the-animal sessions led by animal care specialists.
