Though lacking in majestic mountains and natural lakes, Singapore is a beautiful country through and through. What we lack in natural scenery, we make up for in terms of eye-pleasing landscaping, thanks to our precise and carefully considered urban planning. Think manicured parks built around native forestry, sleek architecture, and public spaces with innovative design.

A total of 16 such places have just been awarded the Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF) certification by the National Parks Board (NParks), joining the 100-odd spots already in the list. Covering parks, commercial buildings, residential projects, and schools, this award highlights stellar landscaping in the city, in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030 for improved sustainability.

Out of the 16 in 2025’s list, two nature-centric spots bag Platinum, the highest certification possible. These are Rainforest Wild Asia – which Time Out previously pinpointed as one of the world’s best things to do in 2025 – as well as the new Bidadari Park, inspired by Winnie-the-Pooh’s whimsical Hundred Acre Wood.

The only establishment scoring the Gold award is Pan Pacific Hotel Orchard. With green trellises along its facade as well as plenty of sustainable elements, we can see why it was also named the world’s best tall building last year.

Other LEAF certification awardees include Sentosa Sensoryscape, One Pearl Bank condominium, Woodlands Healing Garden, and – perhaps most surprisingly – Mandai North Crematorium.
