Despite borders opening up, some of us aren’t willing to risk travelling via the Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) due to the pandemic situation. With this, staycations easily make it to the top of most of our to-do lists now. To elevate your mini gateway, Singapore Zoo has launched a unique staycation experience that offers a respite from the ordinary.

Running from December 16 to March 19, 2022, Staycation in the Wild is the perfect getaway for animal lovers. In this 2D1N adventure, you get to rediscover Singapore Zoo and the animals through feeding sessions, meet-and-greet sessions and more. Get up close and personal and learn more about the majestic Asian elephants and feed the zoo's grass grazing gentle giants, the white rhinos. Attend the Splash Safari show, where you get to take photos with the show's mischievous star, the sea lion.

Head back to the Forest Lodge, where you’ll be served hearty dinner dishes and once you’re done refuelling, immerse yourself in the snow, lights and music at the Rainforest Lumina exhibit. To wrap up the evening, unwind in the luxurious air-conditioned dome tent under the stars. The tent comes with two double beds and can accommodate up to 4 pax.

After a good night’s sleep, wake up to greet a mystery Animal ambassador before having a sumptuous breakfast at the Forest Lodge. To enjoy this exclusive, fun-filled wildlife experience, be prepared to shell out $1,499 for the staycation.

Mandai Wildlife Group will also be bringing back the River Wonders’ Staycation with the Manatees. So, if you wish to hang out with fascinating aquatic creatures instead, opt for this experience, which includes a guided tour, animal encounters and night activities at Amazon Flooded Forest. In this package, you will get to enjoy a set dinner at Ulu Ulu Safari Restaurant and breakfast at Singapore Zoo Inuka Cafe. However, please note that you will be glamping in a bell tent that comes with air mattresses instead of a dome tent.

However, instead of an air-conditioned dome tent, you'll be glamping in a bell tent that comes furnished with air mattresses. This staycation package, on the other hand, comes at a cheaper price. For $999, you'll get a tent that can fit for up to four pax.
