Things are on the up and up for Singapore's bar scene. Manhattan Bar at Regent Singapore snagged the third spot on the World's 50 Best Bars list, which was released in London this morning. Atlas, the speciality gin bar at Parkview Square also broke the top 10, rising to number 8 on the list, following its debut at 15 last year.
Joining the two bars on the top 50 list are Native at Amoy Street – which climbed to the 13th spot from 47 on last year's list – a craft cocktail spot that focuses on regional spirits. There's also Operation Dagger (23), a hidden drinking den tucked along Ann Siang Hill and 28 Hongkong Street (34), one of OG bars in Singapore.
This news follows announcements that Singapore will play host to World's 50 Best Restaurants ceremony in 2019 and the World's 50 Best Bar awards in 2021 so you can bet that we'll see exciting pop-ups and guest shifts in the coming years.
