October’s rainy weather continues, with more thundery showers in Singapore expected throughout the rest of this month. This would cover most afternoons as well as some mornings and pre-dawn hours, according to an updated weather advisory by the National Environment Agency (NEA). Expect those rainy mornings to be fairly chilly as well, with Sumatra squalls bringing us gusty winds.
The last two weeks’ waterworks were ironically in tandem with warm weather, where maximum daily temperatures hit up to 35.2 degrees Celsius – slightly higher than the predicted 32 and 34 degrees Celsius. Over the next fortnight, daily highs are still expected to remain within the temperature range of 32 to 34 degrees, but on the bright side? Daily lows could be as cool as 23 degrees Celsius, should the heavens start gushing.
Other than the mandatory umbrella, it’ll be a good idea to leave home in warmer clothing or a light jacket in hand, especially if you commute early in the morning when it’s generally colder.
Less scorching weather is always welcome on this island, but fingers crossed that things dry up a little in time for the Halloween festivities.
