Wake us up when September ends because this rainy weather is making it impossible for us to pry away from our beds. We’re off to a soggy start this month and the downpours will only continue, with thundery showers expected for the entire first fortnight.

According to an advisory by Singapore’s National Environmental Agency (NEA), the Southwest monsoon season is bringing us windy, rainy conditions during early mornings, along with “moderate to heavy thundery showers” in late mornings and afternoons. The total rainfall during these first two weeks of September 2025 is predicted to be higher than average.

It’ll only be marginally cooler though, so we wouldn’t anticipate sweater weather just yet. Maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 32 to 34 degrees Celsius during this period, but hopefully some gusts will help make that feel less warm than it actually is.
