Singapore is about to get front seats to a double dose of cycling rivalry. Isaac del Toro and Paul Seixas, two of the sport’s fastest-rising names, are heading to our city for the Tour de France Singapore Criterium on November 8, where they’ll go wheel-to-wheel around Marina Bay and the Padang. They’ll be joined by returning sprinters Jasper Philipsen and Biniam Girmay, who are also back to battle it out on the Singapore circuit.
The 2026 race is the fifth edition of the Singapore Criterium and remains the only Tour de France event currently held in Southeast Asia. The closed-city circuit will zip past landmarks including the Padang, Anderson Bridge, Esplanade, and the waterfront.
So here’s the juicy bit: Del Toro, 22, finished third overall at this year’s Tour de France and took home the White Jersey, while 19-year-old Seixas made a flashy Grand Tour debut by finishing fourth overall. Then, earlier this month, Del Toro beat Seixas in a sprint at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal. With both riders already making their mark at the highest level, their Singapore showdown offers another chance to see this budding rivalry play out on the streets of Marina Bay.
They won’t be the only ones bringing a little history to the circuit. Sprint specialists Jasper Philipsen and Biniam Girmay are also returning, with the pair set to renew their own battle on Singapore’s streets. Philipsen and Girmay finished second and third respectively in the 2026 Tour de France points classification, after Philipsen picked up a stage win in the Alps; last year, both were beaten to the Criterium title by Italy’s Jonathan Milan.
If watching four Tour-level riders tear around the city isn’t enough, the weekend comes with plenty of opportunities to get closer to the action too. Head down to the new opening parade on November 8, slotted between the Pro Team Time Trial and Pro Criterium. Partner vehicles will make their way around the full circuit, borrowing from the Tour de France’s famous publicity caravan tradition, so fans get a proper pre-race spectacle before the cyclists take over.
For those who’d rather stop watching and start pedalling, the À l’Attaque programme is back too. Amateur riders can take on the 2.45km closed circuit across men’s, women’s and Foldies categories, with this year also introducing a Team Time Trial.
All four riders will also make appearances at fan activations, including the CEO Breakfast Ride by Capgemini, where business leaders can ride the circuit alongside professional cyclists in a decidedly more civilised, non-competitive format.
Premium Trackside Viewing tickets start at $72, while tickets for À l’Attaque rides start from $80 for solo participants.
