The fifth edition of Marina Bay Sands' Epicurean Market promises the full gourmet experience – think celebrity chefs, master classes and more. And go big on nostalgia. Like, literally. Because Epicurean Market has erected a reproduction of a traditional shophouse, right inside the hall, to house a smorgasbord of local favourites.
In it, RISE, the resort’s buffet restaurant, whips up dishes that are either strictly traditional or updated for the modern palate. Teochew png kueh and ice kachang balls fill the ‘heritage’ end of the spectrum, while the likes of wagyu beef cheek rendang present twists on classics.
But the drinks programme at this three-day fiesta is just as stellar. And whatever your choice of poison may be, there's definitely something for you. Drink in Singapore flavours like a recreation of the apple-beetroot-carrot juice, or revisit the classics with cocktails shaken by the newly crowned Singapore Diageo Reserve World Class Winner 2017, Sin Kim Shin.
