The Great Singapore Sale season kicks off with plenty of surprises. The first one being GST-free shopping on July 7 at shops and restaurants participating in the Great Singapore Sale, meaning that the seven percent tax will be absorbed by the shops themselves. While you'll find the run-of-the-mill sales in stores, this year's GSS experience is definitely more curated.
