This neighbourhood plant shop is bringing Singapore’s botanic market to a whole new level. There’s no doubt that Tumbleweed is the prettiest plant store in town. Its maximalist display of all sorts of ferns, giant cacti and other lush leafy greens is a visual inspiration to anyone looking to spruce up their living spaces.
Growing up in Hong Kong, store owner Denise Law fully understands that you really need to balance the hectic pace of the city with something that slows you down. Denise opened Tumbleweed in 2017 because she felt the city was missing was a platform to inspire individuals to develop their love of plants in their own homes and at work. Also inspired by Singapore's commitment to incorporate nature in its urban planning, she settled on the idea of creating a retail brand that gives people all the means to create the kind of plant displays that will bring them joy.
It might also surprise you to know that plants in the store are easy-to-maintain and suited for indoor life. Elevate the jungalow look even more by pairing your plant with one of the pastel-coloured pots, hand-painted vases and woven baskets that are also available in the store to recreate the homey-tropical look. Tumbleweed also has another store at 55 Tiong Bahru Rd.
