Golf – a beautiful game that pits man (and woman) against self, against a tiny white ball, and against the elements. For those who take it seriously, the sport provides a neverending but satisfying chase for perfection. For others, it's a leisurely sport that comes with the perks of beautiful and green expanses, easily enjoyed with a group of friends.

For an island as tiny as Singapore, you would be surprised to know that we have more than 15 golf courses that altogether take up about two percent of our land. A handful of these are world-class and have played host to multiple international events. As we hold out hope for the sport to become less exclusive in our city-state – most golf courses here require membership – we round up the most gorgeous greens, including picks that come with affordable rates for the public.
