Science Centre Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum of the National University of Singapore (LKCNHM) are about to drop something truly colossal from October 11. Dinosaurs | Extinctions | Us (D.E.U) is an epic dinosaur exhibition that’s bringing the prehistoric party in a way you’ve never experienced before.
Curators have pulled out all the stops, fusing two mega exhibitions for the first time: Dinosaurs of Patagonia and Six Extinctions – with a special section by LKCNHM spotlighting Singapore’s own biodiversity story. Wander through 3,000 square metres of jaw-dropping displays and interactive zones, and uncover life on Earth over 400 million years ago: 33 rare fossils, 60 full-scale models, and the planet’s five major mass extinctions – all in one place.
Prepare to be humbled by the 40-metre-long ‘Patagotitan mayorum’, one of the largest creatures to stomp the earth, before meeting Scotty, the largest ‘Tyrannosaurus rex’ ever discovered. You’ll also discover Singapore’s lost species, including the giant squirrel and rufous-collared kingfisher, grounding the crisis of biodiversity loss in our very own backyard. The exhibition concludes by turning the lens on our own time – a quiet call to reflect on how our choices shape Earth’s future.
Whether you’re here for the giants, the fossils, or a serious eco-awareness moment, D.E.U is as awe-inspiring as it is thought-provoking. Tickets for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents are priced at $29.90 for adults and $25.90 for children, inclusive of complimentary admission to Science Centre Singapore. Standard admission for D.E.U. is $39.90 for adults and $35.90 for children.
