Time Out says

Challenge your preconceived notions of sustainable nutrition and alternative proteins at Flavours of Tomorrow, a food festival happening from January 20 to 21. Alternative and plant-based proteins have been gaining traction in recent years, with more people opting to become vegan or vegetarian. Restaurants are also more likely to cater to everyone’s dietary needs, providing vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options to ensure that anyone can enjoy a meal there. Despite this rise, many still think that these alternatives do not taste as good as eating real meat, and neither do they fully realise the environmental implications of consuming too much meat.

This one-weekend-long food festival will take place on January 20 and 21 at Teletech Park and will feature sustainable food products from local vendors such as plant-based milk by Oatside, plant-based hotdogs by Miss Chardog, and acai bowls by The Berry Spot. Each vendor will be selling exclusive meals for $12 each, but visitors can purchase an early bird food voucher for $10 on the event’s official website, which can be redeemed for these meals during the festival.

Alongside the various food and retail stores, Flavours of Tomorrow will be featuring live portrait drawings, and AR/VR games for visitors to try. The festival will also be hosting various lectures by food-tech startups on sustainable nutrition, as well as the importance of creating a positive impact on the environment. These presentations will also debunk any myths or misconceptions regarding alternative foods, and garner support for these meat alternatives.

This festival is free for everyone, so be sure to drop by to learn more about sustainable nutrition. You can find more information on the Flavours of Tomorrow website.
