Time Out says

It’s no secret that Indonesia is a hotbed of creativity. Experience the country’s vibrant creative scene and talent first-hand as Masa Marketplace lands in Singapore. More than just a shopping event, this month-long extravaganza, themed A Sight into the Golden Indonesia Era, celebrates its culture of community and collaboration with a massive showcase that spans fashion, design, art, music, food and hospitality.

The programme unfolds across two main venues, kicking off at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, where more than 80 Indonesian brands and creatives come together for a four-day showcase. Discover emerging designers and artists, browse contemporary fashion and homeware, and sample its cuisine from innovative culinary players. Highlights include Santai Furniture, a contemporary Javanese design studio, and Roemah Koffie, a roastery redefining Indonesia’s coffee culture.

The exhibition then moves to Gardens by the Bay for a display that draws inspiration from Nusantara folklore, flora and fauna. The installation blends rafflesia blooms and lotus spirits with local orchids, alongside Balinese naga sculptures, striking peacock-inspired motifs and more.

Then, on July 12, be prepared for Masa Sound at the Glass Dome. The concert puts the spotlight on Indonesia’s contemporary music scene as Matter Mos, Future Loundry, Marbles, Lullaboy, Alan Darmawan and Pengayoman take to the stage.
