The New Year's Eve fireworks in Singapore get even more impressive with each year, and we aren’t expecting anything less this December 31. While the annual Let’s Celebrate countdown show and fireworks will be televised live on our local free-to-air channels, nothing beats getting to experience the fireworks in person. While this show will be held at Siloso Beach this year, the Marina Bay area will still be having its own fireworks extravaganza, as will Kallang – which means you’ll get to admire the pyrotechnics from even more locations this year.

Read on for a list of the best New Year’s Eve fireworks viewing locations in Singapore, from free viewing spots to paid venues that are worth the splurge.

New Year's Eve fireworks in Singapore

1. The Kallang

Formerly known as the Singapore Sports Hub, The Kallang will be the site of the longest fireworks display this countdown 2026. Look forward to a 35-minute epic over the Kallang Basin – this is happening in four bursts, with the first one starting at 9pm. All this razzle dazzle comes after hours of performances by stars like Benjamin Kheng, Tabitha Nauser, Iman Fandi, and K-pop legends Super Junior. Find out more about Countdown 2026 at The Kallang here.

If you're not at The Kallang itself soaking up the festivities, then there are a couple of vantage points around The Kallang to view the fireworks. Try the Kallang Footbridge, paths around the Kallang Basin and near the water sports centre, and on the trails around Tanjong Rhu.

Year after year, Marina Bay proves to be one of the best spots to catch new year fireworks. This year, watch the spectacular 30-minute show, designed as a 360-degree experience that's part of an hour-long musical segment starting from 11pm. Find out more about Marina Bay Countdown 2026 here.

For front row seats to Marina Bay's fireworks show, head to The Promontory @ Marina Bay just across the road from Marina Link Mall. It'll undoubtedly be a top choice for many others too though, so do find yourself a preferred spot early. In any case, the buzz of a huge crowd is irreplaceable – no better way to countdown to 2025!

Okay beach bums, this one's for you. Sentosa is lighting up this New Year's Eve with not one, but two fireworks displays – one at Siloso Beach and the other at Palawan Beach. So pick your spot and shake out those beach towels.

There's lots to do to get in the festive spirit, too, including an arcade-like PAC-MAN Festival and the Mediacorp Let's Celebrate 2026 concert (featuring duo Irene and Seulgi from the K-pop band Red Velvet).

Countdown to 2026 somewhere closer to home, because the festivities are coming to seven heartland locations. This year, look forward to fireworks in Boon Lay, Keat Hong, Marsiling, Nee Soon, Punggol, Tampines, and Woodlands. The displays will likely be nowhere near as spectacular as the ones in the city centre, but what you get in return: fewer traffic jams and cosy community spirit. Find out more here.

Here's another hotspot for a clear, unobstructed view of Marina Bay's fireworks. The Helix Bridge spans the waters just in front of the bay, giving you a close-up and pleasingly elevated view of the colourful display. The bridge itself is also particularly stunning when lit up at night, so that's a nice bonus right there.

How about sunset and fireworks views? Yup, you can get both on the sprawling lawn of Marina Barrage, which offers a sweeping view of the Marina Bay skyline. Sure, you'll be a little far off from the main action, but that's a minor trade-off for less jostling with others. Lay out a picnic mat, relax with friends, and wait in relative peace for the skies to light up at the stroke of midnight.

Opposite the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade is the Esplanade Waterfront Promenade. This spot provides just as good a view of the fireworks, even if you're seeing it from the back. It's also a breezy spot, with seats curving along the waterline for you to get comfortable on. The ArtScience Museum and Marina Bay Sands will also be in your sightline, perfect for a pretty photo of the fireworks.

One way to get a dose of nature before midnight on New Year's Eve is at Gardens by the Bay. Check out the majestic Supertrees and scattered gardens as you make your way to Bay East Garden. This spot stretches along the waterfront, offering a fantastic view of the Marina Bay skyline and other iconic buildings. Pick a picnic bench or grassy spot and settle in for a cosy countdown.

To truly escape the crowds, you'll have to venture further out. Mount Faber Peak is a popular spot to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks, but the crowds are nowhere near what you'll find at Marina Bay. At the very top, you can dine at restaurants like Arbora Hilltop Garden and Bistro and wind down in the quiet embrace of nature before the fireworks display begins.

Surprise your loved one with a New Year's Eve Countdown Champagne Special at the Singapore Flyer. For $250 per person, you get priority boarding onto a shared capsule and a glass of champagne. Take a romantic 30-minute spin on the ferris wheel and do a toast to 2026 when the fireworks go off at midnight. If you're looking to make things extra exclusive, you can also splurge on a private capsule for just you and your favourite people, inclusive of eight bottles of premium bubbly. Find out more here.
