Time Out says

The circuit breaker has given us extra hours to hone our skills, from baking fancy cakes to mastering the chords to your favourite song. And perhaps you've explored a newfound fondness for gaming as a social activity or levelled up in a game you haven't touched in a while.

With more hours spent with the game console, Red Bull is turning up the heat by opening the portal to its Mobile Esports Open in Singapore for the very first time – just in time to introduce the PUBG Mobile multiplayer-verse to Singaporean participants. While it's making its debut in Singapore, the global mobile esports open is in its third season this year, and players of all levels are welcome to participate. You just have to be over 18 years old to join.

The city's chosen game title is the popular battle royale shooter Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile where hundreds of players pit against each other in a struggle for survival. Players can team up, drop-in, gear up, and compete for the title. Expect epic 100-player battles, payload modes, and a fast-paced four-against-four team deathmatch and zombie shoot-outs where the last one standing wins.

Show off your gaming skills by taking part in the Online National Qualifiers on July 18 and 19, and the National Final on 25 July. The winner will then take on the world stage by repping Singapore in the World Finals in Turkey next year. If you think you have what it takes to win, sign up at redbull.com – National Qualifiers are now open for registration. For those who wish to catch all the action without taking part, selected National Qualifiers and the World Finals are streamed on Red Bull's Twitch channel.
