The Singapore Food Festival, one of the country’s mega food festivals, returns this September, with one of its stops rolling into the East at Downtown East. On September 6 and 7, four food trucks will park right outside D’Marquee at the Open Plaza, serving delicious grub from 11.30am to 10pm.
Each truck has its own theme – the Heritage Truck, Innovation Truck, Contemporary Truck and Bar on Wheels – and they will feature a mix of local and international F&B names.
Come hungry, because the menu is stacked. Dig into a Singapore satay sando and matcha pandan cloud from Hello Arigato, treat yourself to sweet bakes from Sydney’s Sweet 11:11, or try bold creations like a salted egg yolk chicken taco and Singapore laksa from IHG Hotels and Resorts. For something with a kick, The Maha Co by Yung Raja is serving masala prawn dosa tacos. And if you are after a drink, NTUC Club’s My Wine and Dine Kaki truck will be pouring the booze.
