It's never too late to kickstart your zero-waste journey and lead a sustainable lifestyle. We've even got nifty guides on living sustainably and shopping eco-friendly for products in Singapore to help you out. But for more top tips and tricks, you'll want to mark your calendar for #Swap4Earth Virtual Eco-Conscious Festival on September 12 and 13.
Hosted by Sustainable Singapore, together with EarthFest and Swapaholic, the two-day online extravaganza is all about going in with the new and out with the bad – all while creating zero waste. It promises a power-packed lineup of meaningful discussions, sustainable tours, green workshops, and an eco-conscious marketplace in one virtual space. And what's a sustainable festival without some swaps? Expect to trade your pre-loved paperbacks and stylish threads with the return of EarthFest and Swapaholic's popular book and fashion swaps. While you're at it, swipe someone else's unwanted foliage at the plant swap too.
Can't wait till September 12? The green affair is also screening How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can't Change, directed by Oscar nominee Josh Fox from September 5 to 13 on-demand. The film follows the documentarian to 12 countries to investigate climate change and its consequences. The screening – and event – then wraps up with a post-movie dialogue featuring #TeamEarth representatives Nadia Kishlan and Paul Foster on September 13 at 4.30pm.
#Swap4Earth Virtual Eco-Conscious Festival will be live-streamed via Zoom, so register online to not miss out. For the full lineup of programmes, visit swap4earth.com.
